Hi Eloise, this is Zana from the summer learning journey. You made some very good points in this post, he did get to become the best chess player but he had to sacrifice a ‘normal’ childhood and spending time with friends and family. Do you think the pros outweigh the cons in this situation? Ngā mihi nui, Zana Yates
Hi Zana, Thank you for taking the time to check out my blog. Thank you for your positive feedback. I think that if I was Garry I would prefer a normal childhood rather than being famous, What about you? From Eloise
Hi Eloise, I like how you presented your ideas in a table outlining the positives and negatives, that's a great way to show what you found out. I have never heard of Garry Kasparov, who would think you could get paid to travel the world and play chess. I like to play chess but never managed to beat my Dad, he was a real master at chess. Do you play?
On another note, if you imagine yourself as a reporter or a journalist when writing posts like these and give a little introduction (like you might see in a newspaper or online article) it will help your readers understand the topic better.
I'm looking forward to reading and learning more from you :)
Please structure your comments as follows: Positive - Something done well Thoughtful - A sentence to let us know you actually read/watched or listened to what they had to say Helpful - Give some ideas for next time or ask a question you want to know more about
