SLJ; Teaser Week; Day 2: Activity 3

We are supposed to write down the pros and cons of being Garry Kasparov.

  1. Hi Eloise, this is Zana from the summer learning journey. You made some very good points in this post, he did get to become the best chess player but he had to sacrifice a ‘normal’ childhood and spending time with friends and family. Do you think the pros outweigh the cons in this situation?

Hi Eloise, I like how you presented your ideas in a table outlining the positives and negatives, that's a great way to show what you found out.  I have never heard of Garry Kasparov, who would think you could get paid to travel the world and play chess.   I like to play chess but never managed to beat my Dad, he was a real master at chess.  Do you play?

    On another note, if you imagine yourself as a reporter or a journalist when writing posts like these and give a little introduction (like you might see in a newspaper or online article) it will help your readers understand the topic better.  

    I'm looking forward to reading and learning more from you :)
